Saint François : the beach of Raisins Clairs

The lagoon beach of the “Raisins clairs” , few minutes walking distance from the Camp offers you a calm sea bath at 28° C, sun tanning on its white sand beach, nap in the shade of the coconuts or discovering coral reef..., you can also sample there at one of the numerous "lolo" a thigh of chicken boucannée, a burned out slice of fish, a bokit (Indian sandwitch), a panini, the whole sprayed by a ti-punch, a local beer or a simple glass of water Retour haut de page

The diving

The coasts of the Guadeloupe are characterized by lagoons enclosed by a coral barrier. They offer the many ones and splendid possibilities of diving to the medium of a diversified flora and a fauna. Many clubs proposes varied choice, simple diving for the neophyte to major and technical diving. Retour haut de page

Near the Marina, 5 minutes walk away from the center, there is the international golf of Saint François designed by the famous American architect Robert Trent Jones. A superb 18 holes, with royal coconuts and palm trees, punctuated by bunkers and small ponds. Par is to 71, 35 for 9 front holes and 36 on the back. The Club House has a snack bar and a very convivial restaurant. The material, the caddies and the electric cart can be rented at the club house. You will be able also to play with the local golfers on Sunday competitions. Retour haut de page

Horsemanship, Quad

Near Saint François, the horse club “Le Haras de Saint François” has the structures, stables, horse-gears and monitors, making it possible to the followers of horse to practise their favorite sport. Located at 300 meters of SunSet Surf Camp, the club of tennis of Saint François has five tennis courts open of 8h of the morning to 8h of the evening and available for any player after reservation of runs near the secretariat of the club. Retour haut de page

Discovered Saint François and the Guadeloupe

Saint François : the traditional market   

Saint Francois with a great variety of architecture and diversity of traditional and tourist activities will satisfy your curiosity and your interest. The borough, with its life around the old market, its traditional tradesmen, the fishing port where each day the fishermen return to sell their catch on the spot : the traditional lobsters, coriphenes, tasars..., local restaurants, it’s 18e century church rebuilt in 1932, the Hindu cemetery at "Raisins Clairs".

The Marina for sailing but also its shops, bars and restaurants, the Casino and night clubs.

Dont forget the Carnaval period during february with numbers of parades in all villages and towns.

You can walk among Saint François with mills vestiges of old sugar refineries, the "Pointe des Châteaux" advancing in the ocean dominated by its huge cross, the many small creeks and beaches : "Baie Olive", "Anse à la Barque", "Anse à la Gourde", "plage des Salines", ...

The closed islands of "La Désirade", "Marie Gallante", "Petite Terre" or "Les Saintes" are also linked every day at the departure of the old port or the Marina by several small ferries or sailing boats. They enable you to discover these marvellous islands and to make the sympaticals trips.

Moreover car rental is easy and economical to discover north of "Grande Terre" wild and typical , "Anse Bertrand", "Port Louis", "Petit Canal",... to visit a rum distillery, to discover the typical fauna and the flora of the mangrove of the Grand Cul de Sac Marin or "Basse Terre", the lee shore, drive around the volcano of "Soufrière"...
